Volunteer Horse Leader – Your primary responsibility is to take charge of the horse. You must constantly be aware of the needs of the rider, therapist or licensed instructor, and of any potential hazard in or around the arena. The horse leader must keep the horse moving at the pace and in the direction that the therapist or instructor requests.

Volunteer Side-Walker - assists the therapist during the session as directed.

Who are our volunteers?

Our volunteers reside in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. They include adults as well as college, high school, and home schooled students. Many church, civic minded organizations, scout troops, and groups from corporations have assisted with various projects at the farm.

Volunteers form the backbone of our program and are integral to the success of Greenlock.
