Greenlock’s goal is to improve people’s lives through therapy, including activities utilizing the movement of a horse

Our impact comes in many different forms. Read some of these stories below to learn more. The money we raise through the annual appeal helps pay for the growing costs that run the farm and helps keep our services affordable.

Mission accomplished: Jack’s story

My seven-year-old son, Jack, has a rare genetic form of epilepsy called Dravet Syndrome. Jack had his first seizure at six months old and has had hundreds since. He is very limited in what he can do. He has developmental delays, speech delay and gait issues.

Greenlock Therapeutic Riding Center was the first location I called. I knew the moment I drove up the driveway at Greenlock that this was the right place for Jack.

Jack has gained so much both physically and mentally from his sessions at Greenlock. He has significantly increased his muscle tone, especially his core. He is now able to sit up straight for the entire session and even turn to the side and back! He has gained confidence and trust.

We look forward to Tuesday every week and it is Jack's favorite day of the week, for good reason. Watching him ride brings us all so much joy.
